Stating the obvious
If you’ve opened a news website, listened to the radio or watched any news broadcasts over the last few days, then one thing is very apparent:
We’re living in a challenging environment.
Whatever your views on Brexit, the political uncertainty that the current Parliamentary activity is causing is resulting in ripple effects across the country.
And with that in mind, I thought I’d just share three positive ways to look at the uncertainty and the current environment we find ourselves in, all with the aim of helping you not to feel paralysed by any of what’s going on:
1. Disruption births new opportunity
Historically, business growth has always been quickest immediately after recovery from disruption, so it’s vital that even if the financial services marketplace is slow right now, you’re ready to take advantage of the opportunity that will surely come when more certainty returns to the environment.
2. Choose your counsel wisely
Speak to ten different people, and you’ll get ten different perspectives on Brexit and its repercussions. What’s important is that you don’t get bogged down in advice from people who don’t understand your business or your marketplace.
Take advice, sure, but take it from people who you trust to know what they’re talking about.
3. Without speed, you can’t gain momentum
How do you achieve growth? With momentum. How do you get momentum? With speed. Whatever marketing you’re doing, get it done quickly – don’t dither on minute details. The sooner you get it out, the sooner you can test, measure, refine and improve.
If you’re reading this and you’re thinking that you need help to gain momentum, or you need the right advice to know what you should and shouldn’t be doing, then let’s talk.
