Are you building your financial business brand through social media marketing? These days, it is very common for your potential clients to take a look at your social media as well as your website before they even speak to you.

What should I do to build my brand through social media marketing?
  • Talk like a human being
Social media is casual and the language used across the platforms is conversational. Watch out for financial jargon being used, your audience may not understand them all. 
  • Create campaigns that matter 
A great way to demonstrate what your brand stands for is by creating a marketing campaign around it. Engage your audience by showing you care, this could be a sponsorship for a local school or a charity event you are involved in. 
  • Provide value
Create and share valuable content with your audience. This could be educating them, sharing tips or informing them of relevant news. If you are constantly plugging your services, you’re going to lose their interest really fast.
  • Understand and know your tone of voice
Learn and know your financial business’s tone of voice and portray that through your social media at all times. Imagine your brand as a person and how they would talk, you don’t want to sound funny and informal on one channel and the complete opposite on another. 
  • Consistency is key
You want your brand message and identity to be consistent across all the social media platforms you use, otherwise, you are going to confuse your audience. This includes keeping the style, language and colours the same. 
  • Have engaging visuals
Using strong visuals will have a lasting impact on your audience. They are more likely to engage with a post with visuals than one without any. Make sure the visual you are showing aligns with your brand to keep the consistency.

Building your brand through social media marketing doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time but with a strong online presence, you’ll hopefully be the financial business that comes to mind first, turning an audience into clients.
